Not as much a blog as an online baby book for jotting down notes, milestones, and documenting all the wonderful stories of Sierra before we forget them! - for her to enjoy when she grows up and for us to look back on the memories in the future. Note that this blog is not publicly searchable, so please do not share the link. I may end up password protecting it at some point.

Summer report.
We had 2 great mini-vacations this summer: Monterey/Big Sur and then Yosemite. Sierra had a wonderful time during Chris and Kim's visit. We got to spend some quality time with them, 2.5 days. She loved playing with Aria and Max, esp. Aria. Sierra went to PYT Disney songs camp with Robbie (The best part was Robbie, the camp was meh) and loved Drawn2Art Clay camp (Woodland Creatures) in which she painted a clay mushroom house, made a clay bunny, made a 3D mushrooms in the forest art scene, and drew a dragon. She says she wants to do Drawn2Art camp next summer (a different clay one). She also loved her 3 days of swim camp in which she finally learned to put her face in the water. All this while we didn't get to see Gran for 6 weeks this summer because her foundation was being replaced.
We were supposed to go on a big 1-2 week vacation right now (maybe Portland to visit Aria and Max and then Seattle), but first Sierra got pneumonia (she took 5 days of azithromycin and it worked like a miracle after 36 hours.) She is all better now...
But then, I got it. :( So now I am on azithromycin.
I felt HORRIBLE for Sierra. We were planning something simple - just going to Gran's house this week, but then I have 5 days of fever and realized I could not go. Sierra was sobbing the day we were supposed to leave, Saturday 7/30. Gran heard Sierra sobbing on the phone.
The next day, 7/31, Gran brought Sierra over to her house. Sierra is enjoy a little staycation now. :)
She is having a great milestone in that she is spending a couple days (last night was night #2) at Gran's house. She has only had 1 night away from me in her life before this (Josh & I went to Monterey for a no-children allowed wedding of Josh's coworker). Today Josh is going to visit for the day to give Gran a break.
Now let's hope I fight this off as quickly as S did!
If only summer lasted longer. School goes back in mid-August. Crazy.
