I'm a big girl now
Sierra's been such a mature little girl with all our ailments lately.
The first night I coughed, I laid next to her as usual while she fell asleep. But I coughed a couple times (despite trying my darnedest to hold back) right before she fell asleep and she said "stop coughing! I can't sleep"
The next night, gran slept with her. She woke up in the middle of the night asking for me, and I came and started coughing and gran said I'm too loud coughing and she totally got it and told me to go sleep in the other room!
And it's been like that since.
Then when gran hurt her back, she immediately said "Gran, it's OK. I'm a big girl now. I can sleep by myself." Wow!
Tonight I stayed home while she went out to see Christmas Tree Lane and when she found out I was staying home bc of my cough, she said "It's OK" and hugged me. What a sweet little soul.

Moving and sick
We moved Nov. 8 in frigid temps and pouring rain.
Nov. 11 we had Robbie, A & T over for a birthday cake from Grain D'Or (Andersen Japanese bakery) - one layer chocolate, one layer vanilla. Sierra had asked for chocolate after loving Josh's chocolate bday cake from there. Anyway, I ordered Hello Kitty since there was a rainbow in the background and she really wanted a rainbow cake. They called a day before and said it's been discontinued but they could do Care Bears with a rainbow in the background (odd since Care Bears are from the 80s, but fortunate bc we just happened to have a care bears castle set hand me down, so she's at least familiar with them), so Care bears it was.
Sierra started another nose congestion episode. Snorty and breathing through her mouth. Really hard at night when she is trying hard to breathe through her nose and it's so loud. :( Last night was 3 weeks. But it seems to be improving finally (knock on wood).
Then I got a terrible cough. Last night was 2 weeks of it. Improving during the day, but still hard to sleep at night despite cough suppressant (which I usually never take!).
I can't sleep with S bc it would wake her up multiple times at night, so Gran's been sleeping with her, which has been especially tiring on her. Then Gran hurt her back Wed, so it's been especially bad. Josh had to go out of town Thu-Fri to Sonoma.
Hopefully we all get well soon.
