See the previous email, but Sierra has also mastered Fry's Second 100. So she will be working on the third 100! :)
The only word that she's having trouble with is "them".

Thanks,

Hello families,
You are receiving this email because your SUPER STAR Kindergartener has either mastered the "Fry's First 100 Sight Words" list or is very close to mastering it! Hooray for them (and you)! Their reading abilities are off to a stellar start which is super exciting. I will continue to be working with them in class to develop strong fluency (reading quickly and accurately), strengthen their reading comprehension skills, and challenging them with longer, more difficult books during Reading Groups.

You may have noticed that one optional homework activity is to create flashcards for a few sight words each week. Most of the class will still be focusing on the "first 100" but I wanted to suggest a small challenge for your Super Readers. IF you'd like the challenge (totally optional!) I would suggest doing one of two things:
  1. Working with your child to learn how to SPELL (write) the first 100 sight words correctly
  2. Working with your child to learn how to read the Fry's Second 100 list (if you don't have a copy, I've attached one!)

Thank you again, and remember, this is only if you'd like to continue to work at home! No pressure at all! :)

Thanks,
Savannah Lunsford
