Newdles

I still love how she says noodles (newdles). Gran noticed this for the first time the other day.

A few weeks ago, I ordered takeout tomato beef chow mein (a childhood fave) and Sierra smelled it even though I was hoping she would eat her own (healthier dinner) first. She walked in the kitchen and looked up and said "Are those restaurant noodles?"

100% weaned

I can't remember if I posted this yet, but S is 100% weaned now. As in no more nursing. It's been awhile, maybe a few months, but I've somehow forgotten to mention it. She basically stopped once we figured out to nap her in the car instead of nursing, and ever since then she has not asked for it other than to be silly (see other post).

Changed her clothes 100% by herself today

This morning she insisted on changing out of her pajamas (big Tshirt and footies) into her shirt, pants, and socks. She did it all by herself!

We usually help a little, mostly to speed things along, so we haven't tried this before.

SHE's eating in Robbie's sukkah

I have a question

Sierra likes getting your attention first by saying "I have a question." and then asking or saying what she needs to say.
Sometimes she has what she considers a silly question and whispers it...
"I have a question." and she'll whisper it and smile "did you hear it?" a few times before I hear it. It's adorable.
Examples of silly...
A teacher coming to your house!
1) Can Miss Lesley come to Ra ra's house?
Things that babies do:
2) Can I have mommy nai nai? (I let her try but she only did for a few seconds and then stopped. no milk and just outgrew it!)
3) Can I wear a diaper to poo poo? (I convinced her otherwise. phew)

Chinese and English

She recognizes the diff between chinese characters and english.
she'll see a chinese sign and say "that's chinese"
she also recognizes chinese (asians). she'll say "s/he's chinese."

SHE likes it when Grandpa reads the dictionary

Mac N Cheese

Tried mac n cheese last night (frozen earth's best) and after gingerly eating a few bites, announced "tai you" (too much oil!). So I gave her some rice, kale, and steamed chicken drumsticks (with ketchup mixed with lemon juice - her new fave dip) instead.
