Thursday she woke up with stuffy nose. Wed night she was snoring, so you could tell. A bit of cough today.
Not as much a blog as an online baby book for jotting down notes, milestones, and documenting all the wonderful stories of Sierra before we forget them! - for her to enjoy when she grows up and for us to look back on the memories in the future. Note that this blog is not publicly searchable, so please do not share the link. I may end up password protecting it at some point.

height
Gran hurt her back. Yesterday, Gran wanted to fold up her pants. She told Sierra to stand up, so Gran doesn't have to bend over.
Sierra said "But if I stand up, you're still taller than me!"
Library book limit
Is it normal to regularly be hitting the library book limit (100 books) and yet still needing to get new 30+ books every week? Sierra loves books.

Passover
For Passover, I made the only things Josh eats:
matzo ball soup using Grandma's recipe
farfel popcorn
matzah (which Sierra really was excited to find)
Sierra oddly does not like matzo balls. I really thought this was change this year, but nope. Everyone else likes them, including Gran!

Gabby's party
So Sierra came to the playdate and found that Ariel was also invited so it ended up being more of a little party. Sierra loved it. They did crafts, snacks, and then an egg hunt. Plus lots of jumping in the jumpy house that Gabby got for her 4th b-day.

Teacher Monalisa
Today Monalisa told me Sierra warms up quickly and makes friends easily. :) I told her it's because we have tons of playdates all the time.
Ariel was on vacation today (Lake Tahoe), and Sierra played with Gabby today really well. She ran around in circles with her and says she likes Gabby even more than Ariel now. Go figure!
Circle Time
Here, Sierra puts up the picture of one of her classmates as they sing the song about Who's Here Today?

Octopretzel
Last Sunday, we drove to Berkeley for a daytrip. First we picnicked by the Berkeley Marina. Then we went to watch Sierra's favorite band Octopretzel perform at Urban Adamah, a Jewish themed farm in Berkeley. She got the Octopretzel CD from the PJ Library a couple years ago and it remains an all time favorite.
Her favorite songs are:

Frozen
It was raining 2 weekends ago, so we caved and finally watched Frozen, the latest Disney princess movie (and I really am not a fan of showing Sierra princess movies, though am not so extreme that I prohibit them, like Kazumi's mom.)
Sierra of course loved it and we bought the soundtrack so she could play the songs over and over.

She's going to Yikes Tikes in Los Altos. It's just 10 minutes away (in a cul-de-sac) from us in los altos and I never even noticed it was there until we happened to turn off so Sierra could go potty. It's perfect bc of the small group size, about 8-9 kids (which is exactly what we want to minimize inflaming the adenoids), so we reserved a space to start in spring (after cold season) and alas it is finally time. Although it doesn't seem like it's much of a transition given that she was in a playdate, class, or group activity everyday anyway!
Yeah, introverts totally NEED down time! :) But last night, Sierra said she wanted to *meet someone* at the park, not just go to the park alone, so I emailed Ariel's mom and we are now doing a playdate there this morning. Sierra is way more of an extrovert than I ever was!

Sounds like fun! I laugh when you talk about being introverted. Rabbi Rosenthal once told me, when sharing concerns about Adam, to relax. I was the extroverted mother of an introverted son.

Busy Week
Monday: Playdate with Zoe
Tues: First day of new preschool
Wed: Dance class followed by lunch playdate at Kazumi's house
Thur: 2nd day of preschool
Fri: Playdate with Fiona. Just found out Fiona is sick though so we can relax (although maybe it's only relaxing to an introvert like me who found the week exhausting). We will go to the playground.
This week and next are Tiny Treks' spring break, so no Tiny Treks this week.
Sierra had fun at the new preschool as expected. She is very good at playing from the kajillion playdates I have arranged, and immediately fell into playing with Ariel, the oldest girl. Now she says she loves Ariel!

Zoe's car
Today, as Gran & Sierra pulled up to park at dance class:
Gran: I wonder if Zoe's here yet.
S: I don't think so. She has a skinny gray car.
Gran: But there's a skinny gray car.
S: No, that's not her. There's no car seat in it.
Wow! She is observant like her father!
